On Saturday, 22 March 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. local time, the lights will be turned off for one hour – a conscious statement for more sustainability and responsible energy consumption.

With this campaign, NETZSCH is actively contributing to reducing energy consumption. By switching off the lights at its locations in Germany, Brazil, Australia, India, and China, 199 kW of electricity will be saved.

The Earth Hour was launched in 2007 by WWF Australia. Since then, millions of people, companies and cities have switched off their lights for an hour every March to raise awareness of climate change. The global specialist in handling complex media is also taking part because sustainability is more than just a buzzword at NETZSCH – it is firmly anchored in corporate strategy. In addition to energy-efficient production processes and resource-saving solutions, the company is continuously committed to environmental and climate protection. Annual participation in Earth Hour underscores this commitment and shows that small measures can significantly impact when added up.

Earth Hour 2025: Together for a sustainable future

Even just by switching off the lights for an hour, 69 kW of energy will be saved at the locations in Germany, 85 kW in Brazil, 25 kW in China, and 10 kW each in Australia and India. The campaign is a symbolic but essential step in raising awareness of the responsible use of resources. NETZSCH invites its employees and customers to join Earth Hour 2025 and take a stand for climate protection. Every kilowatt-hour saved counts – for a sustainable future worth living in.
