Grand Opening of the New NOTOS® Multi Screw Pump Plant at NETZSCH in Brazil
Taking a significant step towards global expertise in handling complex media, NETZSCH Pumps & Systems inaugurated the new NOTOS®multi screw pump plant in Pomerode, Santa Catarina, Brazil, at the end of March.
The new factory in the Testo Central district marks an important milestone in NETZSCH's seventy-year history. The construction work began in August 2021 and was completed in less than three years despite countless challenges.

Strategic Importance of the NOTOS® Multi Screw Pump Plant in Brazil
Situated in the Testo Central district, the new plant encompasses a 5,700-square-meter industrial facility, a 1,800-square-meter administrative building, and ample parking spaces. This plant holds strategic significance for NETZSCH, contributing to its global market presence by manufacturing high-qualitymulti screw pumps tailored for demanding applications. Moreover, it enhances production capacity for various product lines at the Pomerode site, including progressing cavity pumps, rotary lobe pumps, peristaltic pumps, and grinding systems. It provides customized solutions for diverse applications in Malaysia. Osvaldo Ferreira, managing director of NETZSCH do Brasil, notes, "Thanks to the new NOTOS® multi screw pump plant, we will significantly increase our production capacity in Brazil, benefiting our customers with more powerful pumps and shorter delivery times."

The new plant's production capabilities extend to pump sizes of up to 2000 kilowatts, meeting the robust demand for high-performance multi screw pumps, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Additionally, its inauguration has generated nearly 90 employment opportunities in the region, contributing positively to the local economy.
