Hot Pumping
Hot pumping refers to transporting liquids at elevated temperatures, which can reach several hundred degrees Celsius, depending on the application. It is common in various industries, including the chemical, food, and oil industries, where molten fats, bitumen, or thermal oils are pumped, for example.
High temperatures place special demands on the pumps and materials used, as thermal expansion, increased viscosity fluctuations, and the resistance of seals must be taken into account to ensure safe and efficient operation.
