The NEMO® BF Hopper Pump with a patented feed screw is particularly engineered and designed to handle highly viscous, non-flowing sludges that can tend to form bridges while being fed into a Pump.
To ensure optimal product feed into the conveying elements, the NEMO® BF features an enlarged, rectangular feed hopper and a conical force-feed chamber. Additionally, it incorporates a special coupling rod with a patented, positioned conveying screw, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the pump in demanding industrial applications.
The pump ensures smooth and continuous flow at pressure-stable, gentle, low-pulsation conveyance and precise, speed-proportional transfer of the sludge. It's robust construction and innovative design make it ideal for compacted and crumbly media applications like sludges/slurries conveying in wastewater treatment plants, mining, refineries, paper, and chemical industries.
NEMO® BF hopper with feeding screw pump ensures smooth conveying
This also ensures the smooth conveying of solids containing shear-sensitive, abrasive, adhesive, thixotropic or dilatant as well as lubricating and non-lubricating materials. The NEMO® BF is particularly compact and economical in block construction with flanged drive.

NEMO® BF Hopper Pump with Force Feeding Screw Construction
NEMO® BF Hopper Progressing Cavity Pump comes with an enlarged rectangular hopper along the conveying screw and conical force-feed chamber. The hopper dimensions can be adjusted to the individual application case based on installation and the nature of the liquid.
The screw or auger with its patented design is welded on the coupling rod that transmits the rotary movement to the pumping elements. The design of this feeding screw is well suited to avoid wrapping of fibrous matter and ensure smooth feeding of the liquid into the pump conveying elements which are the Rotorrotor,Rotors, rotorsRotor and the Stator.
The pump suction housing can be designed with materials in steel, chrome-nickel-steel, and stainless steel that can be coated for wear resistance. The NEMO® Pumping elements are designed to have a conical inlet to ensure smooth transfer of the sludge into the pumping elements. The pumping elements are designed and selected for optimum lifetime for handling abrasive sludges.
The Pump shaft seals can be glad packing or single-acting, bi-directional seals to suit the process demands.
The NEMO® BF pump's construction is designed to convey high viscous and crumbly media reliability, and for ease of maintenance, making it a preferred choice for a wide range of industrial applications.
